“Now that we can show it can be done, we are pushing it,” said Salaverry. who hopes to wrap a Ferrari Enzo later this year.  Enzos typically sell for around $700,000.

“It’s never been done before,” he said. “I’m talking to a few collectors to see if anyone might be interested in letting us do their Enzo. It sounds crazy, but if we don’t push to new frontiers, we are confined by what we did in the past.”

• Keep the engine small.  This is hard advice to take if you love to drive fast, but smaller engines typically get much better gas mileage than a V6 or V8.  You can see a fuel economy improvement of up to 20% by changing to a 4-cylnder.
